Haldiram’s started in Bikaner, Rajasthan. Initially, This brand used to sell Bhujiya Sev, Haldiram started by selling Bhujiya Sev. Bhujiya Sev was made from gram flour.

Success behind this brand there’s three people one of this is “Ganga Bishan Agarwal”(Also known as haldiram), who started haldiram and big hand for expand behind this. After Ganga Bishan Agarwal there’s two son of him named Moolchand Agarwal, Satidas Agarwal, Rameshwar Lal Agarwal.

Moolchand Agarwal had 2 sons named Shiv Kishan Agarwal and Mohanlal Agarwal. These two boys are the ones who are responsible for the success of Haldiram.

…Also known as Haldiram ji, he established the foundation of this brand in 1941. He belongs to at Bikaner, Rajasthan in Marwadi Family.

There was a small this brand’s shop in the streets of Bikaner. this brand had a small shop in the streets of Bikaner. Haldiram was interested in making Bhujiya Sev since childhood. He started going to the shop at the age of 12. And learned to make Bhujiya with his father’s sister and started selling it for 2 paise.

when he started selling in bikaner, he saw that bikaner’s people loves moth dal. so after he started making a bhujia with besan and moth dal and make bujia more thinner and crispy.

Other sellers selling thier bhujia at 2 paisa/kg but he sell at 5 paisa/kg, for making a product premium.

He set a name of his bhujia is “Dongar sev”, because danger is a name of bikaner’s king, he choose this name because it seems like brand ambassador and for people trust.

His sev become very popular and reaches a sky. This is how he established his business.

Shiv Kishan Agarwal – Second Mastermind :-

Shiv Kishan Agarwal was the grandson of ganga bishan agarwal, In the year of 1960 company growth very well through strategy of shiv kishan Agarwal.

The Agarwal family divided into three parts in the year of 1960, Bikaner, Kolkata, And Nagpur in this three cities family was divided. In kolkata and bikaner business runs well. But shiv kishan agarwal struggled a lot in nagpur. in the same year in entire Maharashtra there’s no demand of bhujia.

So he did market research about food in Maharashtra and find peoples habit about food. After survey he found two big opportunity in market. Like there’s only few shop of sweet, he introduce other sweets to the people.

After this he launched his favorite “Kaju Katri” in the market. this is a new sweet for Maharashtra. He started giving a free sample, due to this strategy kaju katri become most famous in nagpur within few days. people loved the test and after sales reaching high. he introduce many other sweets of bikaner and kolkata in nagpur.

After he realized that nagpur people liked south indian foods like dosa, idli. so he started south indian restaurant for more customers, he add some snacks like samosa, kachori, and chole bhature.

This way this brand grow faster, this is inspiration for everyone who belons to family business.
