Chandu Bhai Virani

Introduction :-

Chandu bhai Virani was born on 31st of January in 1957 in a normal farmer family of small village named Dhun-Dhoraji in, Kalavad Taluka, Jamnagar, Gujarat. That small village has 2000 residents. Chandu bhai Virani’s Father name Popatlal Virani. He started Balaji with 10,000 less investment and now he is the owner of 5000 crore’s company named “Balaji”. Chandu bhai virani is a inspiration and have motivational struggled story for every people who wants to start own business with low investment. His family has three brother Bhikhubhai, Kanubhai and Meghjibhai. Chandu bhai Virani is a very down to earth person and prefers simple life with low profile

Education :-

Chandu Bhai Virani could complete education up yo 10th grade. He came from family who fight with financial struggle.

Early life :-

One day he faced a worsening condition like as a farmer heavy rain. After this worst situation his father sold his agriculture land and gave 20,000rs to his sons and asked them to0 grow a business with it.

After this they started fertilizers and farm implements business because came from agriculture background. Unfortunately they lost all their money by got duplicate fertilizer due to less knowledge and experience of fertilizer

With high hopes but with zero options left in hand, Chandubhai at the mere age of 17 along with Bhikhubhai began selling refreshments in Rajkot’s Astron Cinema. From ticket counter to doorkeeper, they managed every department religiously and worked tirelessly!

Looking at their commendable efforts; Govindbhai – the cinema owner, handed over the canteen to them on contract basis in 1976.

And from here onwards, began their journey to success!

Balaji Group since long is respected member of “Snacks food association”.

Balaji Group – Startup and Now :-

Balaji Group based in Rajkot, Gujarat, India. With wafers they also made some snacks like Plain wafer, kela wafers, Masala wefer, aloo sev chana dal, gathiya, moong dal, thikha mitha mix, Magiee, Chocolate wafers and many more….

For building Balaji Empire Chandu bhai Virani’s journey starts like this…..

At the age of 15 he came Rajkot with family because his family faced agriculture fault. At Rajkot he and his family had no sources of income. But by making hardwork, he got a job as a security guard in a cinema house. And other family members also got work.

While doing security job, he did his work with full dedication and even if someone assigned him other work, he would do it. Seeing his energy and passion to work, the owner of the cinema hall shifted him in to the cinema canteen. While working in the canteen, he used to sell toasted sandwiches made by his wife.

while selling sandwiches, he got the idea that the sale of sandwiches is not enough. Then he came up with the idea of selling Wafers. Then they started selling wafers. But in that too wafers were sold less due to late arrival of vendors. Once the picture started in cinema hall, if the vender came, the number of buyers would be less. Faced with this problem, he thought of becoming a wafer himself and started.

Then he show that the wafer sell is too good and started to expand it. Then he thought of supplying to nearby cinema housed and started supplying them. In this way he started to grow his business. Then they started selling it in nearby retailer stores and malls.

In this way his business grew. And with this he was not able to make wafers alone. Then he took help from his family and the family also started making wafers. But even in that, wafers like chandu bhai were not made by everyone, sometimes there was too much salt, sometimes there was too much chili. But they worked hard and learned to make wafers like chandu bhai. But even after getting a family, he could not make enough wafers. He needed a machine but he did not have enough money to buy a machine, so he brough machine parts from the market and made the machine himself at home.

And today they cover the entire Gujarat. Along with this, they are present in 11 states like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Goa.

Once day Pepsi company accused him of copying their design, after which he changed the design of their logo but it did not affect to his sale. Pepsi offered him to sell his company for 4000 crores but Chandu bhai rejected the offer and said that “My company is like my kids, and i do not sell my kids”.

And doing so, he grow his business and today from 20,000 to 5000 crore business. Thus he created huge empire from nothing. He is in this position today due to his hard work and the art of not giving up.

A sentence from Chandu bhai Virani which he told in his life that “Business doesn’t come from profit, profit comes from business”.
